’Tis The Season…

2 Dec

It’s officially the season to: rejoice, share, ponder, laugh and cry, but most importantly, it’s the season to seek peace and love.

These should be everyday occurrences, but we’re often too caught up in simply surviving the day to let our positive thoughts and deepest feelings surface.

This is the time of year when billions of people around the world turn to faith and religion to help make their daily lives better.

There are many celebrations during December, such as:

Bodhi Day, Boxing Day, Christmas, Feast of The Immaculate Conception Day, Our Lady of Lady Guadalupe Feast Day, Hanukkah, Krampusnacht, Kwanzaa, Ōmisoka, Ramadan, Santa Lucia Day, St. Nicholas Day, Yule, Zarathosht Diso

December 25th is also considered to be the birthday of the Hindu god, Krishna, it’s also the day of the annual Tree Festival, which had long been celebrated in Northern Europe before the Christian era, and is still celebrated among nature-based faiths such as Wicca.

Most of these have existed for thousands of years, are faith based and call for peace and love for a better life.

Regardless of your own beliefs, during this season of celebrations let’s hope coexistence is restored throughout the world.
